Del City Police, OCPD chase suspect car
DEL CITY, Okla. — A man led police on a high speed pursuit early Tuesday morning that ended when the driver crashed his vehicle into a building.
Police say the chase was long and fast, with speeds reaching more than 80 mph.
Del City Police initiated the pursuit of a Ford Explorer about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near SE 15th and Eastern.
The chase eventually entered Oklahoma City city limits, and that’s when Oklahoma City Police got involved.
OCPD laid down stop sticks, which did not stop the fleeing vehicle.
The chase came to an end at NE 48th and Santa Fe when the driver lost control, ran off the road and slammed into a building.
Police arrested the driver, who they say had a felony warrant out for his arrest out of Oklahoma County.
The suspect will face additional criminal charges for his involvement in the chase.
