Miss Oklahoma comes back to Sooner State
TULSA, Okla.—Miss Oklahoma and the second runner-up in Saturday’s Miss America Pageant is back home.
Alisha Clifton, 21, arrived in Tulsa around 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
For the past week, Clifton has been out in Las Vegas competing for the crown.
Clifton said, “I had a blast and the time of my life. It’s something I’ve wanted to do ever since I was a little girl and I’m really excited and happy and I’m glad to be home and I’m glad to still be Miss Oklahoma.”
She won more than $20,000 in scholarships for her third place finish in the pageant and for winning the preliminary talent competition.
