Stolen beer leads to rollover crash

OKLAHOMA CITY—One man is recovering after he allegedly attempted to make a great escape with a case of stolen beer Monday morning.

According to police, two men went to a 7-Eleven near S.E. 15th and High just after midnight and walked out with a case of beer without paying the bill.

Deputies were called to the store and the thieves took off.

The pair led police on a chase, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour on the highway.

As officers were catching up to the car, the vehicle rolled over on the I-40 overpass near Robinson.

The driver was pinned inside the car and had to be rescued by emergency crews.

As for the passenger, he fled the scene.
