Terrorism-alert level raised in France
PARIS— France’s terrorism-alert level has been raised after French military action in Mali and Somalia last week.
The terror threat level has been raised to its second-highest level.
Security forces could be seen patrolling public areas in Paris today, including the Eiffel Tower.
French aircraft and troops are aiding government forces against Islamist militants in Mali.
French soldiers also attacked Islamist militants in Somalia in a failed raid to free a French hostage.
