Former NFL quarterback sent to Montana State Prison
DEER LODGE, Mont. – Former NFL quarterback and Montana football star Ryan Leaf is in prison after being removed from a drug treatment center for threatening a staff member.
KXLH is reporting Leaf is now in the Montana State Prison for behavioral problems at the treatment facility.
They said the former San Diego Chargers and Washington State Cougars QB was charged for breaking into homes and stealing pain medication near his Great Falls hometown.
He pleaded guilty to reduced charges, spending months in a rehab facility instead of prison.
But because of his reported “behavioral issues,” Leaf will now serve his time at the Deer Lodge prison.
