Assistant police chief arrested for sexual assault
HOLLIS, Okla.—The assistant police chief in Hollis has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Officials say 34-year-old Jayson Scott Vest was arrested following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving a female inmate at the Harmon County Jail.
Vest is being held in the Jackson County Jail on a bond of $250,000.
Authorities say he will be charged with rape of an inmate Tuesday during his arraignment.
