WASHINGTON – Chief Justice John Roberts got it this time, but President Barack Obama seemed to stumble over the word “states” in his ceremonial swearing in Monday.

According to the Associated Press, Pres. Obama had a brief issue with “states” as he stated “the office of the president of the United States.”

He was officially sworn in for his second term Sunday.

The Constitution requires presidential terms to begin Jan 20.

The AP reported in 2009 Roberts flubbed the president’s swearing in for the first term.

Roberts and Pres. Obama repeated the oath in a private ceremony to ensure no constitutional problems.
