Puppy plea receives 1 million “likes” in six hours
MANSFIELD, Mass.—Children across the country are always asking their parents for new pets.
However, one dad in Massachusetts came up with, what he thought, was a brilliant plan.
The Cordell kids asked their dad for a puppy and, in response, he challenged them to get 1 million “likes” on Facebook.
They got to work right away, enlisting their mother to help them get to 1 million “likes” before the end of the week.
They took a picture holding up a sign asking for clicks and posted it on the social network.
To their dad’s surprise, it took less than six hours to hit the million mark.
The parents say they’ve learned their lesson and won’t be doing this again when their kids are teenagers and asking for cars.
