Las Vegas officer kills family, self
LAS VEGAS (CNN)—Police in Las Vegas responded to the home of one of their own Monday after an officer allegedly killed his wife and child.
The 52-year-old lawman called 911 to say he was burning his house down and warned he would kill anyone who tried to stop him.
When SWAT teams arrived, they found the man outside with a handgun.
Police asked him to drop the weapon but he ignored them and walked inside the burning building.
Authorities believe that is when he killed himself.
Once firefighters put out the blaze, they found his body, his wife’s body and the body of their son, who was in elementary school.
