Moore police searching for serial robber suspect
MOORE, Okla. – Moore Police are searching for a man they say robbed two area stores Monday evening.
Fortunately, surveillance cameras captured pictures of the suspect and now police are hoping you can help track him down.
Police said the suspect started at the Supercuts in the 1100 block of N. Eastern demanding money.
He then ran next door to the Little Ceasars.
Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said, “(He) had the clerk and all the employees go to the back get on the ground and put their hands behind their head.”
Before leaving with all the cash from the register, the suspect made a strange request.
Lewis said, “As he left he made them tell him, ‘Have a nice day.’”
The employees at the stores were not allowed to talk on camera; however, they tell us they were afraid for their lives.
Afraid, even, to call police thinking the suspect might come back and kill them.
Lewis said, “There are a lot of witnesses; they all describe him as a slender black male. You could only see a little of his face.”
Surveillance photos show the suspect with a gun.
His face was mostly hidden.
Police said not only do they have several pictures of the suspect but a camera outside the Little Ceasars also captured video of the man.
They said this type of robbery is rare, at least in this town.
“We’ve heard of the robbing one type of business and the going to next night to the same type at a different location,” Lewis said. “But to rob one business and then go next door at the exact same time and immediately rob another business, I don’t know that that’s happened here.”
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Moore Crimestoppers Hotline at (405) 793-5160.
