Dallas Cowboy arrested for DWI crash
GRAPEVINE, Texas—A Dallas Cowboys football player is in trouble with the law after a crash between his car and an 18-wheeler.
Police say Jay Ratliff collided with a semi in the City of Grapevine and then later refused a sobriety test at the scene.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and taken to a hospital where police obtained a search warrant to have his blood drawn.
Ratliff’s bond was set at $500, which he posted Tuesday morning.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The Dallas Cowboys have not commented on Ratliff’s arrest.
This comes just months after lineman Josh Brent was arrested for a drunk driving accident that claimed the life of Jerry Brown, a member of the team’s practice squad.
