Enid man arrested for hit-and-run fatality
ENID, Okla.—An Enid man is behind bars after running over a woman with his car and leaving her in the street Tuesday.
Police were called to the 1300 block of S. Van Buren after witnesses watched a car hit a woman in the street and leave the scene of the accident.
When officers arrived, they found a woman lying in the road.
Emergency crews began CPR but she was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
The victim was later identified as 38-year-old Mary Beth Ward.
Investigators learned that 41-year-old Anthony Michael Oller may have been the person behind the wheel.
Police went to speak with Oller and say they noticed extensive damage to the front of his vehicle.
Oller was arrested for first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatality accident and driving under suspension.
