OKLAHOMA CITY - An auction planned for Tuesday here in our state is gaining attention from people around the world.
Possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies from the old Tan and Tone America shops around the metro will go to the highest bidder.
Locations in Edmond, Bethany, Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Moore and Norman shut down.
Now the items inside those stores will be liquidated to the highest bidder.
Louis Dakil is warming up his voice and getting things ready at Dakil Auctioneers for a massive auction Tuesday morning.
Dakil said, "This is probably the largest tanning equipment and toning equipment auction ever held in the United States."
Included in the auction: about 275 tanning beds, 300 toning tables and numerous other items.
Dakil said, "There are towels there are lotions, towels, chairs, tables, etc."
"We've been working on this for about a month," Dakil said. "It's going to be fun it's going to be exciting."
The auction could last up to seven hours.
Dakil said, "We'll run anywhere from 140 to 200 items an hour."
As for the money, Dakil said the thousands of dollars made will go to a secured creditor and from there could cover any outstanding debts the company may have.
