Fake fire marshal busted at bar
GRAPEVINE, Texas—A Texas man who is accused of impersonating a firefighter ends up behind bars after being caught in the hot seat.
Police say 43-year-old Charles Brandon was at a night club Saturday where he identified himself as a Dallas County fire marshal.
Authorities say he flashed a badge he allegedly stole from a friend in an effort to get free drinks.
However, his ruse was short-lived.
The fire marshal happened to be at the bar that night.
The real fire marshal called police and had Brandon arrested.
Brandon was arrested on a felony charge of impersonating a public servant.
