Heart disease awareness reaches milestone

Friday marks the 10th anniversary of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.

Over the past decade, awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women has gone up and deaths have gone down.

However, the symptoms still take many women by surprise.

American Heart Association volunteer Davida Daniels joined us to talk about surviving two strokes.

Symptoms women should know:

  • Unexplained fatigue
  • Chronic sleep problems
  • Abnormal skin tone
  • Feeling like you have the flu
