“Sea Hag” sentenced in murder over beer
CONCH KEY, Fla (WTVJ)—A Florida woman who is known as the “sea hag” has been sentenced to prison after shooting and killing her neighbor over a beer.
Carolyn Dukeshire, 62, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the death of 64-year-old Martin Mazur.
Authorities say Dukeshire went to her neighbor’s home and asked him for a can of Busch Light.
When he responded “I have absolutely nothing for you,” she shot him five times.
Mazur later died at the hospital.
Dukeshire, who was facing a first-degree murder charge made a deal with prosecutors, submitted a statement saying she was sorry and would pay the rest of her life for losing her composure.
