Interstate back open after fatal I-35 accident in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – One person is dead after an accident that closed all southbound lanes of I-35 in Norman Monday afternoon.

The lanes were closed at Main St. but are now back open.

Traffic was diverted at Tecumseh Rd.

Authorities say 63-year-old David Taylor was driving was exiting I-35, on the Main St. off ramp, when he tried to go back onto I-35.

It ended up hitting barriers nearby and spinning into the path of an oncoming car.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
