Suspect escapes by stabbing officer with eyeglasses

DALLAS—Police in Texas are searching for an escaped inmate who is accused of attacking an officer.

Authorities say 42-year-old Alberto Morales got away Monday night after stabbing an officer with part of his eyeglasses.

He was being transported from Florida to Nevada to face sexual assault charges.

Authorities say Morales is a career criminal and likely plotted his escape.

However, police believe he is still in the Grapevine area.
