Crews find body in rubble after Kansas City explosion
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Crews have found a body buried in the rubble of that massive explosion and fire at a Kansas City restaurant Tuesday evening.
At least 14 people were injured, many critically, in the inferno that erupted after a construction crews hit a gas line in the area.
Authorities have not officially identified the body but said they believe it’s a female restaurant employee who has been missing since the explosion at JJ’s.
It is unknown how many people were inside the building at the time of the explosion.
Fire officials said they are not sure if everyone is out of the surrounding area or if more people could be trapped.
They will continue to search for victims weather permitting.
