SPARTANBURG, S.C.—The craving for Girl Scout cookies can be intense at times but a few cookie lovers seemed to take things a little too far in South Carolina.

Authorities say thieves broke into a warehouse in Spartanburg and stole almost $19,000 worth of the treats.

Organizers say they are not sure if the thieves intended to actually sell the cookies or just keep them for their personal stash.

The crooks seemed to favor thin mints and trefoils since those were the only two flavors taken.

The theft was discovered when inventory was being taken at the storage facility where the cookies were being held.
