OKC elementary closed Friday for construction issue
OKLAHOMA CITY – Students at Oklahoma City’s Parmelee Elementary will get a jump start on their weekend, school is out for them Friday.
The school is undergoing renovations.
Construction crews recently tore out some old tile sending dust particles into the air.
Labor department inspectors were concerned over the air quality so as a precaution, classes will not be held at Parmelee Friday.
The company that performed those air quality tests say the results came back negative for any unhealthy particles.
The group also completed another more aggressive test.
Those results should be released Friday evening.
