Second man arrested in Lawton officer shooting

LAWTON, Okla. – Police in Lawton said they have arrested another man in the shooting of an officer Wednesday morning.

Investigators said Lawton officers responded to a suspicious activity call and when they arrived, two men started shooting at them.

During the shootout one officer and one suspect were injured.

Police arrested 22-year-old Demetrius Miller and Jamal Erwin Johnson for the crime.

The officer and the suspect who were shot are expected to make a full recovery.
