Semi accident, fuel spill closes I-44 in SW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – Interstate 44 northbound south of S. W. 59th St. is back open after an accident which caused a fuel spill Thursday afternoon.

Traffic was diverted onto I-240 eastbound.

Authorities said a construction vehicle fell off the back of a semi and leaked fuel onto the roadway.

Officials have not confirmed the cause of the accident.

No serious injuries were reported.
