Engine trouble plagues Dragon capsule takoff
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.—Space X says it appears that an engine problem with its Dragon capsule has been fixed.
The spacecraft experienced trouble with its thrusters shortly after Friday morning’s liftoff at Florida’s Cape Canaveral.
Space X officials say all four sets of maneuvering thrusters should be working soon and that the problem has been the result of a struck valve or line blockage.
The spacecraft was originally scheduled to dock with the space station.
The resupply mission is Space X’s second of 12 planned under a $1.6 billion NASA contract.
