LAKE STATION, Ind.—An Indiana teacher has been fired for allegedly writing a threatening message to his students on the chalkboard.

That teacher allegedly wrote “You’re idiots, guns are loaded. Care to try me.”

One student claims the teacher told her he hopes she gets hit by a train.

The school is currently working with police.

District officials say they will give their findings from the investigation to the police department.

It will then be up to prosecutors to determine if the teacher could be charged for making the alleged threats.
