Woman arrested after running from police near Norman elementary school

NORMAN, Okla. – Officers were at a Norman elementary school as a precaution while authorities searched for a woman who led police on a chase in the area Thursday afternoon.

Officials said they were searching for a causation heavy-set woman with brown hair last seen wearing multi-colored pajama pants.

They said she had outstanding warrants and ran from police.

She is now in custody.

Police said the lost the woman near 24th Ave. S.E. and E. Lindsey by Reagan Elementary.

The school was not locked down, just put on alert while officials searched for the woman.
