World leaders attend Chavez funeral
CARACAS, Venezuela—Leaders from around the world have arrived for the funeral of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
A steady stream of leaders traveled to Caracas for the service Friday.
Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived early Friday morning and said that Chavez was a dear friend, a revolutionary and a just leader.
Prince Felipe De Borbon represented Spain.
Russia also sent a delegation to the funeral.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto told Venezuelan state television that he represented his country and sends his deepest condolences to their brother country.
At the beginning of the funeral service, Cuban leader Raul Castro was introduced and received a standing ovation.
A number of Latin American leaders were introduced, including Bolivian President Evo Morales and Chilean President Sebastian Pinera.
