Police arrest suspect after chase through south OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY – Police have a suspect in custody after a brief chase that started near N.W. 23rd St. and May Ave. Monday morning.
Authorities say it all started when a school resource officer reported that his scout car had been hit.
Officials believe the crash was intentional.
After the driver refused to pull over, officers learned the vehicle had been stolen.
The chase wound through city streets and only reached about 40 miles per hour.
Authorities stopped the suspect in the eastbound lanes of I-40 near I-35.
The suspect will likely be charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
