TCU student charged with tampering evidence in Pickens death
FORT WORTH, Texas—A TCU student has been charged with a crime in connection to the death of the grandson of T. Boone Pickens.
Authorities say 21-year-old Brennan Trainor Rodriguez is accused of removing evidence from an apartment and hiding it from police who were investigating the death of Ty Boone Pickens IV.
Court documents identified the evidence as heroin, drug paraphernalia, syringes and marijuana.
Pickens, who was a junior at Texas Christian University, died in January after possibly visiting Rodriguez’s apartment.
Rodriguez faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The medical examiner has not determined what caused Pickens death.
