Dozens of credit cards, IDs found in dumpster

NORMAN, Okla. — Dozens of driver’s licenses and credit cards were discovered in a dumpster behind a Norman business Monday.

Police found 36 credit cards and 18 driver’s licenses and state IDs after responding to a report of illegal dumping.

The dumpster is located behind Donate a Miracle which is off of 24th Ave SE and Lindsey Street.

“I have seen people with some credit cards and some driver’s licenses or IDs that did not belong to them in the past 29 years but I’ve never seen this number,” Norman Police Captain Tom Easley said.

Norman Police said the driver’s licenses were not reported stolen. Investigators are now in the process of running checks on the credit cards.

Donate a Miracle Store owner Lyz Farrar called police after she saw someone throwing out boxes behind her store. Store employees told police the vehicle had the name of a business on the side of it. Police were able to track down that vehicle and did write someone a ticket.

Norman Police can’t say for sure who dumped the ID’s into the dumpster.
