Convict on the run after escaping Woodward prison

WOODWARD, Okla. – The Woodward Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man who vanished from the William S. Key Correctional Center this morning.

Floyd “Punkin” Miller, 42, was last seen at the prison around 5:45 a.m. during an inmate count. When another count was conducted at 7:30 a.m., Miller was gone. Prison officials are investigating how he might escaped, but few details are known at this time.

Miller is 5 ft. 8 in., with red hair and brown eyes. He is convicted of manufactuing methamphetamine and prison officials do not know if he is dangerous.
