SUV flies over construction ditch
OKLAHOMA CITY — Police raced to a construction zone near NW 164th and Pennsylvania about 2:30 a.m. Monday when a vehicle crashed into a ditch.
First responders found a black SUV stuck in the mud just off the roadway.
Police say the man fell sleep at the wheel, lost control and swerved off the road hitting an embankment that sent the vehicle airborne “Dukes of Hazard” style.
Police say the SUV cleared an eight foot by ten foot wide hole in the ground.
The hole is part of ongoing construction.
The vehicle had to be towed out of the mud.
No injuries were reported.
Police say alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
