Okla. mom named “Mother of the Year”
OKLAHOMA CITY – A local woman was honored Tuesday as she became the winner of the 2013 Oklahoma Young Mother of the Year award.
“It’s a difficult job and we’re doing our best every day to hold it together,” Sherry Sage said. “The best we can do is be there for each other and support each other.”
Sage is a mother of five small children and her husband, Brandon, nominated her for the award handed out Tuesday at the State Capitol.
The award is given by “American Mothers Incorporated.”
We wish Sage congratulations and maybe a morning to sleep in.
She’ll now be considered for the National Young Mother of the Year award.
