This one is a little far from the metro but well worth the drive… the Cimarron Territorial Celebration and Cow Chip Throwing Contest in Beaver.
It starts Saturday with the Cow Chip Chili cook off and runs all week.
The celebration promises events for all ages including a carnival, parade, horse shoe throwing contest, wagon feed and the main even, the cow chip throwing contest.
Since you’re going to be outside enjoying this beautiful weather, why not do it while strolling through Guthrie?
