Officer living on grain elevator to raise funds for Special Olympics
YUKON, Okla. – A Yukon police officer is really appreciating these warmer temperatures after a tough week.
He’s living on top of the grain elevator in an effort to raise $25,000 for “Yukon Special Friends” which is connected to the Special Olympics.
Sgt. Matt Fairchild went up on the elevator on Monday and the storm shredded his tent.
He’s been sleeping with just his sleeping bag to keep him warm since then.
If you want to support this dedicated officer you can swing by the Yukon grain elevator or police department and help Matt reach his goal.
