Police: Body found near Overholser now homicide investigation
OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials said they are now investigating a homicide after a woman’s body was found near Lake Overholser earlier in April.
Police said the body of 22-year-old Karen De Leon was found in a wooded area of the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge in the 6900 block of N. Morgan Road.
A cleanup crew, Friends of Lake Overholser Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge, found the body when picking up around the refuge.
Officials said De Leon’s mother reported her missing April 6.
