NFL suspends former OSU star
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former OSU wide receiver Justin Blackmon was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season on Tuesday, for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
The Jacksonville Jaguars receiver issued a statement, saying he made a mistake and has no excuse.
He said he’s truly sorry and disappointed in himself for putting the Jaguars in this situation.
It is Blackmon’s third substance-related incident in less than three years.
He’s had two arrests for driving under the influence.
The NFL will not release information regarding the details of this suspension.
