New study suggests lipstick exposes woman to toxins
It’s something that many of us use every single day.
A new study suggests that lipstick and lip gloss could expose you to dangerous levels of toxins.
Researchers found cadmium, chromium and aluminum in 32 brands of lipstick that were tested.
Those metals are linked to cancers, heart disease, diabetes and neurological problems.
Experts said it’s nearly impossible to determine which products would test positive and suggest you only wear lipstick once in a while.
The beauty companies said consumers shouldn’t be surprised by the findings since many of those metals are found in soil and water, which are used in the creation of the makeup.
