VIDEO: Tornado wipes out homes, schools, businesses in Moore
MOORE, Okla. – A tornado that was two miles wide at its largest point has wiped out homes and two schools in Moore Monday afternoon.
This tornado is being compared to the devastating, record-breaking May 3, 1999 tornado that ravaged the same area years ago.
Neighborhoods, trailer parks, schools, businesses and other structures in the area are gone.
Crews are setting us a search and rescue area in the Warren Theatre parking lot.
Officials are asking everyone to stay out of the Moore area and off the roads because they are having trouble getting in to help.
