Cowboys blow another lead, finish Big 12 tourney winless
For the third straight day, Oklahoma State’s baseball team blew a late inning lead at the Big 12 Tournament, losing to West Virginia 6-5 in 10 innings on Saturday. The Cowboys got a 2-run home run from Randy McCurry on their way to a 5-0 lead, but the Mountaineers tied it with a five-run 6th inning.
It stayed 5-5 until the bottom of the 10th, when former Tulsa Union star Jacob Rice singled home the winning run for West Virginia.
Oklahoma State finished pool play 0-3, and the Cowboys have lost seven straight Big 12 Tournament games.
Since winning the Big 12 Tournament in Arlington in 2004, OSU has gone just 4-16 in Big 12 Tournament play.
OSU will find out their NCAA Tournament fate when the selections are announced on Monday.
