Florida coach feels Okies’ pain
OKLAHOMA CITY - Florida University’s women’s softball team has qualified for the College “World Series” which gets underway this morning at Hall of Fame Stadium here in the city. And the Gators head coach is Tim Walton, the former pitcher for the University of Oklahoma baseball team. Walton was part of a coaching caravan that met the media Wednesday to talk about his team’s opening game against Tennessee.
But soon the conversation turned to what the tornado victims and their families are going through in the areas of Oklahoma so devastated by the damage of the storms from almost two weeks ago. Walton shares his thoughts on what these courageous people are dealing with, from his knowledge of being here as an athlete several years ago.
