Heat waves down Spurs to even series
MIAMI – The Miami Heat went on a 33-to-5 run starting late in the third quarter to pull away and beat San Antonio 103-84 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night in Miami.
The lead went back and forth through most of the first three quarters, but the Heat’s run clinched it.
Miami forced 16 Spurs turnovers in the game.
Mario Chalmers led the Heat with 19 points.
LeBron James added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
Danny Green led the Spurs with 17 points, hitting all six of his field goal attempts, including going 5-for-5 from 3-point range.
With the series tied 1-1, Game 3 is set for Tuesday night in San Antonio.
