Broken Arrow hospital closes its doors, sends patients away
BROKEN ARROW, Okla.– A hospital in northeastern Oklahoma is forced to close its doors following a major water main break.
St. John’s Hospital in Broken Arrow had to stop all its operations until further notice due to potential problems with water contamination.
Officials say 13 patients had to be moved to other facilities Wednesday.
In addition to the hospital, all of the city’s restaurants were also closed.
Crews repaired the break but a boil order remains in place until the water supply can be tested.
Customers are being asked to conserve water until the system recovers.
Anyone caught watering outside faces up to $500 in fines.
