Elderly man killed outside convenience store
BOISE CITY, Okla.– Police in Woods County are looking into a horrific murder of a man outside a convenience store.
Authorities say 71-year-old Charles Nieman was shot after he got out of his truck near the Loaf n’ Jug convenience store around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Nieman’s wife was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
He was taken to the Cimarron Memorial Hospital where he died a short time later.
Officials with the Boise City Police Department have asked for assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Currently, agents are working numerous leads but no suspect has been arrested at this time.
