LATVIA -- It’s a sad story out of the country of Latvia involving an Oklahoma City Barons hockey player. Police say 20-year-old Kristians Pelss disappeared Tuesday.

Now authorities believe he may have jumped off a bridge into a fast-moving river.

This photo is from the Baron's website. A spokesman said officials had suspicions the jumper was Pelss, but would not give any other information.

Pelss just returned home to the region after finishing last season with the Oklahoma City Barons.
