Group finds IRS employees used government credit cards for wine, porn

IRS building sign

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service needs to do a better job of tracking the use of government-issued credit cards, according to a Treasury Department watchdog.

A review of purchases found most IRS employees properly used their credit cards.

However, some used the cards to buy meals, wine, romance novels and even porn.

The IRS and other federal agencies use government credit cards to buy items directly from vendors.
