New soccer franchise coming to OKC

Oklahoma City will have a new pro soccer team soon. The ownership group that operates the Oklahoma City Barons hockey team is bringing a United Soccer League Pro team to town, that will begin play next spring.

The league is just one level below the highest pro soccer level in the nation, Major League Soccer.

A news conference was held on Tuesday afternoon at the Devon Tower to make the announcement.

A team name, logo and colors have yet to be determined.
