Twister Relief Concert entertains record-breaking crowd
NORMAN, Okla.– As thousands packed Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to see an array of country stars, organizers say they were making history.
Saturday night, the record-breaking crowd of over 80,000 packed into the stadium to see performers like Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Sammy Hagar, Toby Keith and Carrie Underwood, who performed via satellite.
Authorities have not released the official amount that was raised by the Toby Keith Twister Relief Concert.
However, 100 percent of the proceeds go to the United Way’s Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund.
