Suspect identified in officer-involved shooting
TULSA, Okla.– Investigators say they have identified the man who was shot during an altercation with troopers.
A trooper pulled over a vehicle for an expired tag around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.
As he was walking to the car, the passenger fled the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Kermit Lee Farrish, began to struggle with the trooper and tried to pull his gun out of the holster.
Farrish was shot and rushed to an area hospital.
Farrish was released from the hospital and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of felony assault and battery on a peace officer.
The trooper was placed on routine paid administrative leave.
