EL RENO, Okla.– An organization that helps tornado victims get approved for disaster loans is set to close in El Reno.
The U.S. Small Business Administration will close its Disaster Loan Outreach Center in El Reno on Thursday, July 18 at 6 p.m.
The center can be found inside the Jenks Simmons Field House, located at 214 N. Country Club Rd.
Disaster loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair damaged property.
Businesses may borrow up to $2 million to repair and replace damaged equipment and other business assets.
Interest rates can be as low as 1.87 percent for homeowners and renters, 2.87 percent for nonprofit organizations and 4 percent for businesses.
So far, the administration has approved more than $26.9 million in low-interest loans for local businesses and residents.
Other disaster centers are located at the Moore-Norman Technology Center and the Capitol Hill Baptist Church Gymnasium.
Storm victims may also apply for a loan at the SBA website.
The filing deadline for property damage loans is August 19.
The deadline for economic injury applications is February 20.
